Renee Lertzman, PhD
Founder and Lead
Renee is an internationally recognized researcher, strategist, speaker, instructor and communications leader; and author of Environmental Melancholia: Psychoanalytic Dimensions of Engagement (Routledge, 2015). Since 1990 she has worked with a diversity of organizations, from the World Wildlife Fund to the White House.
Elizabeth is a nonprofit and foundation-program consultant. As its founding director, she guided the Buckminster Fuller Challenge’s 12-year course to develop the prestigious Fuller Design Award. She also founded PLANETWORK, establishing the first international conference on global ecology and information technology.
Linda is a project management consultant. She project managed the UC–CSU Environmental and Climate Change Literacy Project and Summit at UCLA in 2019 and assisted with the implementation of the Global Climate Action Summit education affiliate event in San Francisco in 2018, in addition to various projects elevating environmental literacy in California in partnership with Ten Strands.
Jaquelyn is the owner of Effortless L.L.C., a virtual assistant company she founded in 2015. Prior to starting her own business she worked as the Director of Accounting at Embassy Suites in Norman, Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice-Police at The University of Central Oklahoma. She is an avid nature lover, gardener, and bird watcher.
Creative Director and UX designer, Project InsideOut hub
Lara is a graduate of Emily Carr University in communication design and has worked as a designer, developer and creative director on big and small teams for the last 20 years. She has worked with nonprofits and environmental organizations such as Innovation Africa, The environmental youth alliance and the Canadian Labour congress; with artists like Douglas Coupland; journalists like Neil Macdonald from CBC News; and with broadcast TV like the Down2Earth Series on APTN and Green Heroes on TVO.
Digital Producer, Project InsideOut hub
Loc has been a content producer and creative technologist for over 25 years and co-founded digital content studios at the National Film Board of Canada and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Loc oversaw the creation of over 150 original content websites, interactive and VR/AR works with filmmakers, artists and journalists in Canada, the US and Europe for which he has won over 100 awards.
Loc has also worked with the Olympics, advised the Government of Canada on policy and advised content funds and film festivals. He currently sits on the board of Story Money Impact which produces Good Pitch Vancouver and is a founding member of The Guild of Future Architects (NYU/Tisch School of Arts).
